Contact consent for texting
How virsva contractors get permission before texting a contact from their Company Assistant number.
virsva is business-to-business coordination software for construction contractors. A contractor can text a homeowner, client, crew member, subcontractor, or vendor through virsva only after adding that person as a contact in the contractor's account. virsva contacts are added one at a time by the contractor. They are not purchased, scraped, or imported from marketing lists.
Before adding a contact
The contractor must confirm that the person has agreed to receive project-related coordination texts from the contractor's business. The contractor may get this permission during normal project communication: a phone call, a text conversation, an email, signed project paperwork, or an in-person conversation.
When asking, the contractor tells the person that:
- They'll receive job-related coordination texts, such as scheduling, material questions, site access, work updates, translations, and replies about the project;
- Message frequency varies with the project, and message and data rates may apply;
- They can reply STOP at any time to opt out, HELP for help, or START to resume after a STOP.
This is a requirement of our Terms of Service. We may suspend or restrict accounts that add contacts without consent.
What contacts receive
- Coordination messages from the contractor, translated if needed;
- Replies in an ongoing two-way conversation about their project.
Messages identify the contractor's business by name. Messages drafted by the assistant are sent only after the contractor approves them. virsva never sends marketing, promotional, or bulk messages.
Opting out
Replying STOP (or STOPALL, OPTOUT, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE) stops further texts to that number. Opt-outs are recorded and kept so the number isn't texted again unless the person replies START.
